Buticari Events – La Rocca di Buticari: Identity, Territory, Wonder

“Buticari Events” was born almost by contagion: after the success of World Book Day, the local administrators of Nizza di Sicilia decided to entrust me with the communication relaunch and branding of the suburban park “La Rocca di Buticari.”

In two well-designed seasons, I saw an old picnic grove transform into a natural theater overlooking the Strait of Messina, with spectacular terraces hosting local artists and national guests, theater, music, art exhibitions, and installations.

The real joy was paying tribute with the logo to the “Sentinels” by artist Alfio Bonanno, true guardians of the 38th Parallel. The brand gave identity to a place and a season that deserved to be told.

Unforgettable moments:
A wedding dress fashion show interrupted by a sudden summer storm—but the models, all local girls, kept walking in the rain until the runway went dark. The memory lives on.

The biggest challenge?
Distance from the town and lack of funds for maintenance and road access. Culture can revive a place, but without consistent investment, even the best projects risk being lost.

Still, for two seasons, we gave the park a new identity:
audiences from across the region, advertising in major airports, a reputation that made citizens and administrators proud.

history must be written, and a moment of glory is little when places have so much to tell.”
